是a man of few words 还是a man of a few words?

前面那个

wordless person
a man who is wordless吧？

an incommunicative person.

应该是这样的:
a man with few words

Few的意思是“not many”（ 不多；少）；反义词是“many ”。A few的意思是“some”（一些）；反义词里“none”（没有）。知道了few和a few的区别就不难理解了吧
